Events and Talks
It is not just games we produce, but all types of games events, workshops, articles, publications and game jams/hacks.
Dr. Tomas Rawlings, our Studio Director, is an accomplished speaker/panelist/keynote; from Europe's first ever newsgame hack in Cologne to Scoopcamp in Hamburg or Houses of Parliament's TEDx event and can talk/teach on a range of games/media/digital topics. We can also assist with designing and delivering topic specific workshops, facilitating ideas sessions, practical sessions on games technology and culture.
Many of Auroch Digitals staff have also done talks and streams sharing their knowledge and expertise.

Game Jams
A Game Jam is a method of rapid prototyping an idea, going from concept to a working version in anything from a few hours to days. This is in contrast to the normal development cycle of a game which runs from months to years.
Game Jams are a great way to bring a team together or create new teams to rapidly develop an idea, to explore a theme or just for fun. We’ve organised a number of game jams/hacks for different organisations in various formats; 'Gamify Your PhD‘ for the Wellcome Trust, The Royal Society Game Jam, XX Game Jam (the first all female game jam in the world), as well as helping to run Global Game Jam in Bristol for the last several years. Contact us if you think a game jam/hack would be an interesting way to explore what matters to you!
