Job Description:
Role Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced designer with a passion for the Warhammer universe to join our team for a PC/Console title. The team is small but seasoned, and every contributor has a big impact. The role is focussed on the creation of in-game content, including characters, weapons, levels, enemies, and items.
The position is a 10-month fixed term contract, beginning in July 2025 and ending in April 2026.
Typical responsibilities:
Take designs for characters, weapons, levels, enemies, and items from concept to completion.
Collaborate closely with other designers, coders, and artists to rapidly iterate on gameplay prototypes, to quickly find the fun.
Use established processes to deliver the content you create to a high-quality standard, efficiently, and on-time.
Work in-engine (Unity) to help create content, and balance gameplay mechanics.
Write and maintain design documentation.
Present ideas to stakeholders and the wider team.
Assist with tracking the progress of content implementation to ensure it is delivered on time.
What we're looking for:
Required:
At least 1 shipped PC/Console game, from start to finish.
Knowledge of Unity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documenting and presenting ideas.
Familiarity with games in the Triple-I space, and a passion for gaming in general.
Receptive to feedback/direction and licence-holder requirements.
Proactive in collaborating with others and seeking feedback.
A player-first design philosophy.
Good time management skills.
A passion for the Warhammer universe.
Desirable:
Some technical proficiency (e.g. scripting).
Skilled with Microsoft Office.
Experience with rapid iteration/prototyping.
Evidence of owning at least 1 major feature of a project.
Evidence of working to deadlines and delivering key milestones to stakeholders.
Diligent and attentive to detail.
