We’re pleased to announce that Auroch Digital has registered as a Disability Confident Committed Member with the UK Government’s Department for Work and Pensions. Disability Confident organisations play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better.

At Auroch Digital we believe in supporting people with disabilities or long-term health conditions in the workplace, whether they are prospective employees or are already part of the team.

What is Disability Confident Committed?

The Disability Confident scheme is a voluntary government initiative designed by employers and disabled people’s representatives to help employers recruit and retain people with disabilities and health conditions.

The scheme lays out commitments employers take in their responsibilities towards disabled workers and individuals with long-term health conditions, including:

  • challenge attitudes and increase understanding of disability

  • draw from the widest possible pool of talent

  • secure high-quality staff who are skilled, loyal, and hard-working

  • improve employee morale and commitment by demonstrating fair treatment

  • helps identify employers committed to inclusion and diversity in the workplace

What does Disability Confident Committed mean for Auroch, our employees, and potential recruits?

By signing up to this initiative, we have made commitments around disability inclusion and accessibility. We are committed to taking the following actions:

  • Communicate and promote vacancies – We will promote our job vacancies through a range of communication channels to ensure that we are reaching out to disabled individuals with our opportunities. We will also review our current recruitment process.

  • Make sure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible - We will make job ads accessible, ensure against discrimination, provide information in accessible formats and accept applications in alternative formats. We offer adjustments at all stages of the job application and recruitment process.

  • Provide reasonable interview adjustments as required - We will anticipate and make reasonable interview adjustments to make sure disabled people disadvantaged when applying for jobs

  • Offer interviews to disabled people – We encourage applications from disabled people by offering them an interview if they meet the minimum criteria for the job.

  • Support current staff who have, or develop, a disability or long-term health condition - We are committed to helping our staff to thrive at work and advance their careers. Retaining an employee who has become disabled means keeping their valuable skills and experience.
